After a big welcome home dinner for Dan, he was feeling tired. The meal had been very good, made by his mother and consisting of a big turkey with all the trimmings. “Any plans tonight, you two?” Dan’s dad asked.

“Mmm, not that I know of. We could go out for a drive or something?” Dan said, looking at Suzy.

“That would be nice,” she smiled, holding onto his arm.

She liked to make out in the car, and Dan was dreading that he’d have to tell her to hold off on that stuff. Maybe he could say that he was too tired or something, but that would only last for so long. She’d want some alone time with him soon and he would have to break it to her about the tentacle, then. He sighed and leaned back in the comfy chair with her on his arm, as his dad watched a football game and yelled at the screen every so often.

“Come on, let’s go out for a while,” Suzy stood up and pulled Dan’s arm. He looked at his father, but his father was only aware of the game on TV.
